Minerva

A Circle of Leading Women in Supply Chain and Tech.
Minerva - named after the Roman goddess of wisdom, strategy, and mentorship - is a professional community that aims to enable greater gender equality within the supply chain and digital technology industries.

Why was the Minerva
program created?

Current state

Supply chain and digital technology are still perceived as male-dominated. Women face various challenges, including gender disparity, limited access to mentorship, and a lack of representation in leadership roles.

Goal

Establish a circle of female leaders around the world as Minerva Ambassadors: Executives in supply chain and digital technology who aim to educate on the professional challenges women face, empower younger generations, and take a stance to ensure more inclusivity.

What does being a Minerva Ambassador involve?

  • Thought Leadership

Sharing their insights and perspectives on key issues women face in supply chain and digital technology through a series of panels open to an external-facing community.

  • Networking sessions

They aim to connect with industry professionals and inspire women and men across the globe to create a supportive and collaborative community.

  • Attending executive events

Participate in and speak at an annual executive retreat for leaders aimed at promoting awareness and support, as well as skill development.

Who are the Minerva community members?

Minerva is open to women, men, and non-binary people worldwide within supply chain and digital technology. The end goal is to become enablers for gender equality in these industries.

Members will receive guidance and support from seasoned ambassadors as they strive to advance their careers and break barriers in the complex world of supply chain and digital technology.

‘Minerva’ is named after the Roman goddess of wisdom, strategy, knowledge, and justice, reflecting the expertise, drive, and experience of our ambassadors.

Key topics Minerva aims to address

  • Acknowledge key challenges women face in said industries, such as getting executive approvals, how to face pushback and influence the board on change management.
  • The gender disparity gap in executive roles and how
    to address this.
  • Ambassadors share their career paths in the supply chain and digital technology industry.
  • The importance of having executive sponsors, both inside and outside the workspace.
